This week in Art History, we will introduce color to our drawings. We will also be fixing a few behavior issues that have been occurring in the class, which mostly involves a lot of talking while others are trying to work. Students will be placed in more organized seating to help alleviate the situation.

This week in Art History, we are going to go over shading again, but this time we will be learning the correct techniques as well as including other tools for shading that the students may not have thought of. On Thursday, class will be interrupted by our MMS pep rally for homecoming. Friday may turn into a lesson day as opposed to a free draw day.
On Tuesday, we will be back at drawing our still life and working on shadow. We will work on this concept all week as we get ready to introduce color concepts over the next few weeks.
This week we are going to take a new approach to drawing by using shapes, such circles, squares and rectangles. This method allows the student to draw within a confined space and it helps new artists to keep their scale in the correct dimensions. Also, Tuesday is the last day to bring in the class fee money that is required to stay in the class. Students not willing to pay will be transferred to a similar class that does not require a class fee.
