Hey all! This week in World History, we will start off by finishing our Unit 1. We will discuss three of our worlds oldest religions (Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism). On Tuesday, we will work on our Egyptian brochures and hopefully finish those up by Wednesday. We will also review for our test which will take place on Thursday. On Friday, there will be a documentary on ancient Egypt while students are meeting with Sandy Barfoot in preparation for their eventual migration to the 9th grade!

This week in World History we will have our first test of the semester on Tuesday. On Wednesday we will write our essay on the Code of Hammurabi and on Thursday and Friday, we will be working on our next set of notes and a project on Ancient Egypt that will get the students moving!
Hey all! I had originally thought that we had a test coming up this week, but I realized after looking at my lesson plans that the first test is actually going to be on the 21st. That said, what are we doing this week? We will be going doing our own cave paintings on Monday! On Tuesday we will finish our notes before our test and begin our look at Hammurabi and his codes of law that today would be viewed in a very different way than in his time. This activity will go on until Friday where we will write our essay on the subject. I will conduct a test review on Thursday and your test will be on Tuesday after the holiday.
Hello everyone and welcome to World History. I'll be using this site to update you on everything going on in the class moving forward. This week we will begin learning about the Historical Process which explains how historians work alongside other professions to solve the mysteries of our past. We will also examine early man and their development into early societies. Students will work on a personal timeline as well, so expect to get some questions from their early years!
