This week in World History, we wrap up our discussion of Christianity and we will test for the chapter on Thursday! The rest of the week will be dedicated to ACT Aspire and on Friday, we will have some light classwork before moving on to our Chapter on Islam on the following week. I will have a review for the test on Tuesday.

On this very short week, that we are all so thankful for, we will begin begin our notes on Christianity! Yes, Christianity, just like the other religions is in fact in our state curriculum as it should be considering the incredible historical impact it has had over the last two thousand years. We teach this subject from a historical relevance point of view. That said, we will get through this chapter pretty quickly and we will be attempting to test on Tuesday, February 28th. If you have any concerns about this subject or others, please let me put your mind at ease via phone or email :).
Ok, so last week did not go completely as planned and that sometimes happens. My colleagues and I looked at our plan for the year and realized that we were about a full week ahead of schedule, so we decided to move our test back to this Tuesday. We will also be spending a great deal of time this week working on ACT Aspire skills in the area of reading. The plan for starting on the next chapter notes is to have them printed by Wednesday and lecture on Thursday. We have a Mankind: The Story of Us planned that will bridge the gap between Rome and Christianity as well.
This week in World History, we will continue our second look at Rome and sadly, Rome's fall as "barbarians" lurk at their doors and rip it into pieces...pieces that one day become modern Europe. We will have our test on Thursday as this is a very short chapter. Later this week, we will watch a presentation of Mankind: The Story of Us as well.
