On Tuesday we will finish our notes for the section. Wednesday will be your first dedicated research day for your topics...please do not take this lightly. I can only give you so many days AND YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO DO RESEARCH OUTSIDE OF CLASS! The original plan for Thursday was to take the unit test, but after looking at the calendar, I have determined that we will have time to get through everything that we need to before Spring Break even if I push this back. In place of the test, we will begin the DBQ for the Fall of the Roman Empire. On Friday, we will be in career prep and on that note, a huge congratulations to Cayden Pomeroy! Cayden is the first one to finish Career Prep and is now done for the year...his Friday's are now free to him. I have several students that are within about a weeks work of that same situation. Keep plugging away at it.
Hey all! So there were some changes made for this week that I needed to make. The biggest one is that we will not have our test this week. I know...I can feel your sadness and see the tears rolling down your cheeks...but we can make it past this terrible moment if we just keep going through it. That said, I will be in class on Monday and you will work on the activity located at the front of the room. If you do not wish to take the reading from the front and prefer to use your laptop, I have put the reading on Google Classroom under the title "Roman Emperor Timeline". You do have to take an answer sheet however. Please put your name on it and place it into your classroom box if you finish. If you finish early, you will work in career prep.

On Tuesday we will have our research paper topic draft, so please make sure that you've picked your topics that you hope will still be on the board. Wednesday is an eLearning day for you all. For that day, you will all work in Career Prep. Remember, the faster that you finish Career Prep, the more down time you will have. On Thursday, we will go a little further into our notes, finish our video on Pompeii and begin an activity on the Emperors of Rome. Friday will be for career prep and finishing out the Emperor activity.

This week we will start off with an activity on the daily lives of the average Roman citizen. On Wednesday we will start your journey toward completing your research paper. You will also get your topic choices. We have our test on the Roman Republic on Thursday and of course Career prep on Friday.
This week in World History we will start our tour of the Roman Republic! We will see how our own system of government is similar and even how purposely similar our architecture is to the Roman's. We will take a look at their systems of law and how that has influenced the world.
Welcome back from Christmas break! We will start off with career prep. We really need to get above 50% for everyone before going further into World History. We will delve back into WH next week and start our journey with the Romans and their amazing Republic followed by their dramatic empire. Looking forward to it! For Tuesday, you will be working in career prep. I will be at the school and will be able to monitor your progress should you need a test unlocked.
