I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break and Iron Bowl. This week in World History, we will continue our look at the ancient Greeks and their significance to not only our culture, but others as well. We will finish up our chapter 4 notes, which will start with section 3. We will discuss Leonidas and his 300 Spartans vs the million man army of Persia. We will also discuss how the Spartans and Athenians went to war with one another. Our test will be on Thursday!

I hope everyone had a great Veterans day! Ok, so our time together is flying by faster than it did last year. We are going to start our chapter on Ancient Greece this week and will be exploring their geography and city-states. Greece has an ancient culture and we will explore how they have changed moving into this century as well as where they have been. The plan for this week will be to cover chapter 4-1 and 4-2 notes so that we are ready to finish up after the Thanksgiving break and have our test on that Thursday. On Friday, we will explore the famous 300 Spartans who defended the pass at Thermopylae via a History Channel documentary. Parents, please strongly encourage your students to complete all work leading up to the end of this nine weeks as we do not have much time for accomplishing makeup work.
Hello everyone! This week in World History, we are going to finish up our long look at Medieval China. On Monday and Tuesday, we will be finishing our notes out and taking a lot of Genghis Khan and how the Mongols changed the world in good and bad ways. We will also start looking at our next civilization, Greece, by starting our new #projectattack series. Also on Tuesday, we will review for our test, which is Thursday! Friday is Veterans day, so no school and please be sure to take a moment to think about all the men and women who have served or are serving and all that they have sacrificed so that you may enjoy the freedom of arguing over whether or not the Xbox or PS4 is the better game system (side note, computer gaming is far superior to both of those choices).
