This week will be pretty busy overall. We are going to start by finishing up notes for Chapter 8 on Rome. I will also give the test notes that day to study. On Tuesday, the honors classes will be choosing their topic for their research paper, so make sure that you've looked the choices over. My general classes will be working in career prep or finishing the Twelve Tables activity that day. If time permits, both classes will begin watching the documentary on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius as well. On Wednesday, all classes will write the essay on the Fall of Rome from our DBQ. Thursday will be the test for Chapter 8 and on Friday, all classes will work in career prep.

Hey all! I will be back this week and what a strange week it will be with block scheduling. We have a lot of direct instruction to clean up, so we will start with notes and get as far as we can there on Monday. Tuesday and Thursday will be our block schedule days with 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th periods on Tuesday and Thursday with 2nd, 4th, and 6th periods. We will start those classes also with notes, but will finish those quickly and I will let you have more time on the Fall of Rome DBQ. 2nd Period will be our Mustang Period this week and will used for the PBS activity. On Friday, we might work with notes and will also work on a new activity for Rome and Roman law.
Wednesday is an E-learning day. You will work in career prep for that day. So that you don't think I am just dancing around my room singing fairy songs, I will be stuck in Zoom meetings all day. Honors classes...I have not forgotten about our Paper Draft! We will most likely conduct that next week...maybe even Monday of that week (January 31st), so make sure that you've looked over the possible topics because when it is your turn, you need to have an answer ready. See you all tomorrow! This week in World History, we're going to start taking a look at the ancient Roman world. We will start off an activity about the daily lives of the people in Rome and follow that up on Tuesday by disusing the rise of Rome. This is a B week, so on Wednesday and Thursday in the honors classes, we will take a look at the Rules in the Roman Republic. We will also begin talking about your choice of topics for the research paper. General history classes will also work on the activity, but will spend half of the class working in career prep. On Friday, we will continue our look at the Roman Republic via notes and finish up any unfinished work.
