This week in World History, we will begin talking about Medieval Europe via assignments. I've decided to hold off on notes in order to allow you to work on the research paper and career prep. We are getting to the end of the year faster than you think and career prep is a top priority. For those who have completed career prep, you will have the advantage of time on your research paper. On Wednesday, I will be out of town getting my first Covid vaccine dose. I will have at least two assignments for you on that day. 2nd period will be working on Africa during this time and career prep throughout the week.
This week in World History will be full of activity...mostly because so many of you have a lot of activity left to be completed. There are a number of incomplete assignments and we will take some time to complete those this week, but be aware that we will not have time to complete everything in class...you will have to work from home on some items. We will start the week by completing the notes for Africa and Islam and just Islam for 2nd period. Remember that we will have our Q3 test on Thursday. You were given the study guide to complete over the weekend. That study guide is 100% on you to complete. The whole week will be a mix of makeup work and career prep.
Speaking of Career Prep though, Friday will end the 3rd 9 weeks and with that, we will be 3/4 the way done with the school year...you should be past, at or around 75% by the end of the day on Friday. If you are below 60%, now would be the time to press the panic button and start working in career prep from home with every chance you get. I cannot stress enough the importance of finishing this online course. The high school will treat Career Prep Virtual A as a summer school course and not a separate class. On top of that, there is the possibility of a summer school charge, which is about $250.00. GET IT DONE! |
